Scripture
St Catherine Parish has been supporting the local schools within the Mascot community for nearly 4 decades with the scripture programme. St Catherine has parishioners who kindly volunteer their time to help children learn about the Orthodox faith and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
St Catherine parish currently supports a number of schools with our Orthodox scripture programme and serves the following primary schools
- Botany Public School
- Mascot Public School
- Gardeners rd Public School
- Eastlakes Public School
The programme is conducted in English to make it easier for the children to learn and understand.
The scripture programme is specifically designed to educate young children on the Orthodox faith in an easy and enjoyable way. The programme covers topics such as the love of God, learning of our Saints and Martyrs of the church, lessons on the Bible and the various holy events of the church.
